“I had a large tree removed from the front garden and as the soil is very clayey, the nurseries suggested to use compost. I did this with limited success and was sure the soil needed something more. I rang DPI and they suggested I ring a garden supply firm. I contacted Steve Jones Home Hardware & Garden Supplies and he suggested to use Garden Mate. I bought the product and gave the garden its first dose of Garden Mate and turned the lumpy, clayey soil over. A fortnight later, I turned the soil and found that indeed, it was a lot softer (less lumps). With spring not far away I repeated the application of Garden Mate. Two weeks later when I turned the soil again there were no lumps at all and it was quite loamy. My wife planted the garden and all the plants have flourished. The soil is still as loamy as you could wish for. Garden Mate has certainly lived up to its name. Good luck and may Garden Mate make other frustrated gardeners with problem soil, happy.”

“Previously, I used the usual inorganic fertilisers which, although encouraging rapid growth, have caused some concern regarding the adverse effects these lawn fertilisers have, in the long term, on the environment. I purchased a 40kg bag of Lawn Blend. As I prefer to spread fertiliser when dusk is approaching, I was unaware that the fines were dropping from the spreader considerably more heavily than the recommended usage. Despite this error, I was surprised to find that no burning of the grass resulted; this would most certainly have occurred if I had used any inorganic fertiliser. I was extremely pleased at the outstanding growth and deep green colour of the lawn even though there was a lack of rain during December 2000. It is now February and I have just purchased and spread a second bag of Lawn Blend. With the present heavy rainfall the growth and colour of the Blue Couch is phenomenal. I would recommend this product to anyone who takes pride in their lawn.”

I recently purchased and spread Lawn Blend. Although this year we experienced record winter drought, after applying the above mentioned “Lawn Blend” with normal watering, my Queensland blue couch which covers large area, not only has it fully recovered, but vastly increased its fresher look and density, with much better results then the various brands of products I have used in the past. I have also used Garden Mate, what a difference it has made to the garden, These are very good quality garden products and I have no hesitation to recommend these products to anybody.

Since using your Garden Mate & Lawn Blend I have had great success with keeping my lawn green & lush. My lawn had been drying out in some spots even though I was adding extra water, it would not go green in those spots. I put some Garden Mate and Lawn Blend on and very soon these spots greened up like the rest of the lawn, it has stayed like that since. Also, I am not watering as much as I use too and my lawn is still keeping green & lush.
